Thanks!!

I clicked "lock envelopes to events" but the volume envelopes still do not move with the audio events. I tried both before and after I had selected all events. Is there another step I'm missing?

Check your 'Ripple' button. (read the little arrow next to it by clicking on it.)

Yeah! And then CLICK the button ON . . ooo I've done that before now - forgotten to actually "click" the Ripple ON! . . Grazie

I'm not sure what the reference to Ripple means here - I never ever have auto ripple on, but whenever I move an event the envelope settings move with it as if they were a single object, that is IF Options > Lock Envelopes to Events is ON.

jrichter - when you say you have turned it on - is there a grey border around the icon - there's only a subtle difference between ON and OFF, so make sure it is on, and envelopes should start moving.....

The lock envelopes icon turns white when it is turned on, and grey when it is off. I have it turned on.
Turning auto-ripple on or off doesn't make a difference.
When you say your envelopes move with the events, does that include audio tracks? That's what's not moving. The video transitions are moving.

Yes, envelopes are definitely moving with audio tracks - when I slide an event along the timeline, the "V" or whatever shape the envelope is in moves as if it's "stuck to" the event.

There must be a different setting somewhere, but i don't know where .....
