Moved from v6 to 12 render ?

I took some movies with my panasonic DMC SZ1 set to wide screen mp4. Dropped them on the timeline, selected match properties, pointed to a clip and the recorder file is 1280x720x32 29.97. Fine. I added some still pic, inserted markers etc. Now its time to render and I have no ideal what would be my best choice. I chose Main concept mp2 and it rendered fine. Loaded into DVD Art 5 and burned to DVD. When I played it back it came out at 16:9. Fills the screen completly. Looks pretty good. But did I chose the correct render? Is there a better choice if I'm using DVD art 5. Thanks

It sounds like you did.

The best output for a DVD-optimized MPEG is Main Concept MPEG with the template for Program Stream NTSC (or PAL) Widescreen.

Although some folks output the video stream and audio stream separately and then combine them in DVD Architect too. But that template is the simplest way to produce a video/audio file that will need little or no re-rendering in DVD Architect.

Thanks again steve. I rendered with exactly what you suggested. I dowdload the WinDv you suggest to capture with but I have the same error. I'm going to install my 1394 card into a different slot later and give it another try. Obviously nothing wrong with my Sony program but with my computer. May be a IRQ sharing problem.
