Hello. I have doubts about buying Movie Expansion Pack Vol. 1. Because what I need are new transitions. It's pretty much the only thing I need to edit my videos. I wanted to know if buying this pack would have new transitions or would it just be a waste of money.

Expansion Pack 1 comes with NewBluePOST Transitions 5 Ultimate. This has a ton of transitions in it that are really fun to use. You can check out some of the included transitions at NewBlue FX.
Between that and in inclusion of Titler Pro 7, and Boris Particle Illusion, I don't know what was the better deal! Do be warned though: the Boris keys are only good on one system at a time. While I have all the NewBlue stuff running on my desktop and traveling with me on my laptop, the Boris stuff is locked to my desktop only.
Have you tried the GL Transitions in VEGAS? There are some additional ones for download on this forum that users made.
@Valentino-Diaz Hi, I can only go from what I see on the website, I don't have Movie Expansion Pack Vol. 1 but I do have Boris's full suite & New Blue Total FX which is pretty much everything they both offer,.. as far as this is concerned anyway.

That says to me that NewBlue Transitions 5 Ultimate are the transitions in that pack.
Like @Gid, I also have Boris FX Continuum Complete 2024, and it comes with a host of transitions. The same with NBFX TotalFX and it's Transitions 5 Ultimate.
But there is also a less costly alternative (but maybe not when combined altogether) are the the effects from Pixelan. I have their Spicemaster Pro 3 for their highly customizable organic wipes. But then, you also have in VEGAS, GL Transitions.
But depending on the video that I might be editing, my mainstay transitions are the cross dissolve, cut and fade. And I have hundreds of different transitions to choose from.

Do not come with transitions in those Boris FX Continuum packages, only the NewBlue Transitions 5 Ultimate are transitions.
@Reyfox This is a list of the Transitions in Boris FX Continuum Complete, I can't find any in those BCC packages above.

You brought out a very important point on the BorisFX plugins, they are from 2021.5 (late 2021). Like you, I have no idea of what is included with those Units. Going to the Boris site HERE and clicking on the Units gives a description, but the video links don't seem to be working.
@Reyfox 👍 I had to look in Vegas's Plug-in Chooser to see what was in those packages but just like particle illusion my BCC version is 2024.
I had a look at Particle illusion, the 2021.5 emitter package seems to have a decent amount + all the default emitters but I have all the other emitter packages from 2020 so it's hard to know what is what exactly, 🤷♂️ There's also been some changes to PI since 2021.5.
With BorisFX Continuum Units and Premium Filters, its important to keep in mind that all Units and Filters must be from the same version (eg. 23.0, 23.5, 24.0 or 24.5). Installing a later version on the computer will override and make unavailable any Units or Filters from a previous version. From BorisFX's Help page:
Why did my older Boris FX plugins disappear?
Only one version of Boris FX Continuum plugins can be installed for Vegas Pro at any one time. So, if you have an older version of Vegas with legacy Continuum plugins, these will be replaced with the newer versions that ship with Vegas Pro 19/20. We highly recommend uninstalling any existing Boris FX plugins previously installed on your system to avoid problems. To do this, right-click the Start button and click Control Panel. Go to Programs and Features (if your Control Panel is in Category view, go to Uninstall a Program). Find Boris FX Continuum, click to select it, and then click Uninstall.
However, if you want to keep your older Boris FX plugins, then you do not install these current products as they will overwrite any older plugins.
This is where having the complete Continuum suite becomes advantageous because all the Units and Premium Filters in the suite are always the same version after any upgrade to a new version. Continuum Units and Premium Filters are not part of the Boris FX Upgrade and Support Plan.
Note: If the Expansion Pack stills comess with the 2021.5 Continuum Units, they are quite old now, the latest release being 2024, five versions later than 2021.5.
