Movie Studio 13 Copying/pasting timeline from one project to another?

Hello everyone,

Is there a way to copy and paste timeline footage from one project to another in Movie Studio 13?

For some context, I make gaming videos on YouTube. A necessary evil of the process is syncing all of the footage prior to editing. The other day, I had a thought that it would be much more efficient if I could firstly, create a project that was synced (with no edits), and then move that timeline to a new project (which would be edited in the future).

This would allow me to comeback to the synced footage, so that I could copy/paste it's timeline into more new projects for future videos (such as montages and funny reels) without having to sync all of the raw footage multiple times.

However, Movie Studio 13 will not let me copy and paste timeline content from one project into another project. Is there a work around for this? Does anyone have a method they use to avoid syncing the same content over and over?

Thanks for your assistance. I really appreciate it!

I think you have to open another VMS instance with the other project loaded.
Than with me it is possible to copy timeline events from the first to the second opened project

Thanks j-v!

That did it! I just learned that I could open a new instance by right clicking VMS and opening a new window. Hopefully this a more productive strategy.

Thanks again
