Movie Studio 13 GPU Compatibility...

Good morning...

I'm currently using MS 11 Platinum on a machine with an Intel HD Graphics 3000 GPU (1760 MB Dynamic Video Memory) and it runs smoothly. Is MS 13 designed to function on this platform, as well? The Sony website mentions HD Graphics 4000 as an example of a supported GPU, but doesn't describe it as a minimum.

Thanks for clarification on this.

It shouldn't give you any problems.

Just don't expect GPU acceleration from on-board Intel graphics. Intel graphics are usually on business, not graphics, computers, and usually provide minimal graphics support.

Actually, the i7 HD4600 GPU is very impressive rendering AVCHD and MP4 on other software. I haven't got my copy of SMS13 yet so can't comment. I wasn't aware that Movie Studio supported ANY GPU to accelerate preview or rendering.

I'd be interested to know which other software you are referring to.

Cyberlink powerDirector 12 fully utilizes the HD4600 for transcoding and even has FX Filters that are hardware accelerated for Intel, nVidia and ATI GPUs.

I purchased Movie Studio to keep updated on DVDA Studio. Hardly ever use the video editor.
