Movie Studio 14.0 Platinum Motion Tracking Keyframe Problem

sagaevan wrote on 10/6/2017, 12:03 AM

I'm new to this program and really only recently found out about the track motion tool. I used it, put in two keyframes, but the video only displays as the last keyframe, it does not show the motion in-between. I don't know why. It makes me sad. Does track motion simply not do this, or am I being dumb?

Operating System: Windows 10 x64

Processor/CPU: Intel CORE i7 2.70GHz

Video Card/GPU: NVIDIA GeForce 940MX

Memory/RAM: 12.0 GB

I rarely use Track Motion but I've just checked with MS14 Plat Build 148 and it's working okay for me.

Perhaps you'd better tell us what you are doing step by step so we can see your problem.

A very common beginners mistake is to not select the Position track first.
If you accidentally select Shadow of Glow, you will not be key-framing "movement" controls.
Have a look at my screen shot of how it should look.
If this is does not help, upload a screen showing your Track Motion window and key-frames.

I knew to do the position track first.

I did try doing the glow and other thing just in case it might've changed anything, though.

I just found out that the reason it wasn't working was because the time was off. I thought it would work more like the pan and crop tool where it would start at the place the clip starts, but I was wrong. Problem solved.
