Every time I attempt to stabilize a 4k video clip, Movie Studio 14 Platinum (purchased the suite, if that matters) freezes and closes.
It freezes regardless of GPU assisted processing toggled on or off. Proxy files are enabled automatically for Ultra HD files. Thanks.

Windows 10
AMD FX 6100 Six-Core Processor 3.30ghz
16GB Ram
4GB video card (nvidia GeForce GT 630)
I don't have a real solution, but I know about the problem. It happens not with every 4k clip. For my opinion it's a bug within the Vegas stabilize plugin ( based on Mercalli2) because the same clips are stabilized without problems with the Mercalli 4 plugin.
Thanks for your response :D I checked out the plugin, it's rather expensive (for me) and I had to scrape together the money just to upgrade my Vegas.

Are your 4k clips from a Panasonic camera?
What you can try is to render your problem clips first to XAVC, import those rendered clips in your project and try to stabilize those XAVC clips with the internal Stabilizer. I garantee (99%) that this solves the problem.
3Point - Do you mean XDCAM EX? Movie Studio has no templates for XAVC.

I just remember this free offer from Prodad's Prodrenalin. I don't know if it's still valid, just give it a try. This standalone stabilizer (not only suitable for actioncams) will also give better results than the Vegas stabilizer plugin.
