Movie Studio 17 Platinum - Audio Issues

Michael-Cooper wrote on 10/26/2020, 12:06 PM

Ever since switching to 17 Platinum, I've had audio issues. Sometimes it will not play the MP3s I've imported and will instead either play the wrong audio entirely, or it'll play a loud high-pitched screeching sound that sounds like a cassette tape on fast-forward. The past few videos I've made have turned out okay as the editor seemed to rectify itself over time somehow but I can't get it to stop this time around. It was playing most of the audio completely fine until today. Is there any way to get it to stop doing this?

Thanks!

Which audiodevice does the program use, if possible renew it by the newest version and otherwise use another one.

Thank you - I altered the Audio Device, which didn't work, and then changed it back, and now apparently it's fine again for some reason? I have no idea what's wrong with it. I've never had this issue with Movie Studio 14, which is what I used to use.

I get this with Vegas pro sometimes when the OS is trying to use the same soundcard as Vegas. I think there is sometimes a conflict set up as far as bitrate or something. I can toggle it like you did and it works.
