Probably one of the 3th party plugins is causing the problem.
1. Rename its location on Windows to "old"location.
2 Try to start VMS again,
3. When that is going well, allow those plugins on by one to find out which one is causing the stop. Probably that one has to be renewed and installed again.

I got it. Found this on a website. This is what was causing it.

I checked that path ("C:\Program Files\Common Files\OFX\Plugins\NewBlue\TitlerEx.ofx.bundle\Contents\Win64") and found "TitlerEx.ofx". After deleting it - Sony Movie Studio 13 finally starts.

That is the problem. 😀
