Movie Studio Platinum 12.0 has stopped working

i was using an old version of Movie Studio Platinum but this did not work when i came to start it saying there was an update ( i havent used it for quite some time) after instakking the update it still will not work im on windows 7

Newer programs as Movie Studio 17 Platinum need Windows 10 to work well.
