Movie Studio Platinum 12 and Windows 10 Problem

I can create a new project but cannot Import Media now that I have installed Windows 10. What is more attempts to load existing projects will not complete. Of the three attempts they each froze at 58%, 98% and 38%.

Is there a known issue with version 12 and Windows 10 ? If so, is there a workable solution ?

Movie Studio 12 should work just fine on Windows 10. Although the program also uses Quicktime, and the latest version of Quicktime is having some issues with W 10.

What model of camcorder is your video coming from and what format and resolution is it?

I have now solved the problem. I right-clicked my Movie Studio Platinum 12 shortcut and set the Compatibility Mode to Windows 7. It still did not work, but shortly after that I received a pop up called "Program Compatibility Troubleshooter". The result was that the issue was both recognised and fixed. There was no information about exactly what action the troubleshooter took to fix the issue, or indeed what the issue was.

For the record I use a Panasonic Full HD camcorder.
