Movie Studio Platinum 12 Crash on import

I have had problems for two days and I have yet to get an e-mail from support. When I try and import a mt2s, file it crashes and it says:

unmanaged exception (0xccccfffe)

This is weird because it has been working fine. I've been doing the same thing for months and now it will not work. I even tried to call and pay for a support plan; but they are "doing training" so they don't even pick up, I have purchased cyberlink, but I would rather stick with SMSP 12. Do I need to move on or is this fixable? Time is short for my project. Thank you.

What operating system are you using? Have you ensured you have the Microsoft Updates in addition to the automatic Windows Updates? Have you got the latest version of Quicktime from Apple?

When did you last do a Disk Cleanup and run the Disk Defragmenter?

Did you use Movie Studio's Device Manager to get the video from your camcorder to your computer?

I do a defrag once a week, I have the latest updates. I never had quicktime before but even after installing it, it still had the same result, I am using windows 7. Thank you.
