Loading Screen is up, and it crashes on the "Initializing GPU-accelerated Video Processing..." text.
My screens blink and then the Microsoft error pulls up "Movie Studio Platinum has stopped working - A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available".
Program Information: Version 13.0 (Build 943) 64-Bit
Computer Information: See System Information, it is current.
What I have tried/figured out so far...
When I disable my nVidia NVS 5200M card in Device Manager, I can open the program. However, since this is a laptop, I am always docked/connected to monitors and when I disable the nVidia card, I lose that capability.
Once in the program, I go to Options-Preferences-Video and I confirm and make sure GPU Acceleration is set to "Off".
I have also tried the CTRL+SHIFT and opening the program to reset to the default program settings. Still crashes as soon as I enable the NVS 5200M video card.
Video Card Information:
Driver Version: 9.18.13.4752 (most current version)
I am trying to get the software to work so I can get my son's tutorial videos edited for him on his YouTube channel (he's 5, and him and I are doing it as a "father/son" activity). I just want it to work and am getting frustrated on trying to figure out why it is not working. Any and all suggestions would be helpful!
Also, I did talk to Sony's Live Chat today and they have escalated the issue, I am awaiting to hear from them, but looking to see if anyone else has experienced this, and found a solution. Thanks!
