Movie Studio Platinum 16.0 (Extra Frames)

I have almost no experience with video editing so perhaps I am missing something obvious but often when I trim a video in my timeline and then export it a few of the frames that I specifically cut from my timeline appear in the exported file. Is there something I could be missing? Would appreciate any assistance I could get as I am editing some old VHS tapes that have sentimental meaning to me.

Probably you mean by trimming the pull with your mouse from one of the ends to the inside.
Maybe a better way is cutting by S (split) and than delete the part(s) that you don't want to hold.
For both ways it is good to enlarge the timeline by scrolling with the mouse after you made a split or drag in order to zoom in.
