I bought the Movie Studio Platinum v13 and "free upgrade to v14 in February" special.  I opted for the physical CD/DVD.  The installation process looks like it progresses normally, and it says "finished" and that the installation has been successful, but there are no folders, files, or icons for MSP v13 anywhere on my machine.  I looked for the folder where it says the installation was performed, and there is nothing there but my old v12 installation.  My old MSP v12 still works like normal.  

I tried the online help and none of the folders or files it describes are on my installation CD/DVD.  I'm not comfortable with registry editing.  I read something about that, too.  I work from 9 to 5, so I can't call technical support because their hours are the same.  I've tried over and over, and this thing is driving me nuts.  This is my last attempt to resolve this issue before I bundle it up and send it back.
