Movie Studio Vegas Pro Version Faker (MSVPF) updated to 1.3

Movie Studio Vegas Pro Version Faker (MSVPVF) is updated to version 1.3.
Movie Studio 14 is now supported.

(MSVPVF) can change the flags for the version number and even the file type (Movie Studio or Vegas Pro) of a project file. So with this little cheat it is possible for some close related project versions to exchange project files between Sony Movie Studio and Sony Vegas Pro.

A very handy utility. I realize it is use at my own risk, but so far it has never failed me or made a mess. Thank you. Donation is on its way.

@bob-h

I have tested MSVPVF with Windows 7 64 bit, but it should work with Windows 8 or 10.

Maybe I can help you if you answer the questions below:

  1. Did it crash for you once or all the time?
  2. Windows 8 64 bit or 32 bit?
  3. Does it crash with all project files or a specific project file?
  4. Does it crash immediately at start, after you pushed the "Select ... file" button or after you pushed the "Write new file" button?
  5. Do you have sufficient file permissions to read and write / create the files on the location you want (f.i. for writing the new project file in "Program Files" you need administrator rights)?
  6. Does it crash if you start MSVPVF with administrator rights (right click msvpvf.exe and "Run as administrator")?
  7. Does it crash if you temporarily switch off your virus scanner?
  8. Does it crash with filenames that only contain "normal" characters (so without special characters)?
  9. Does Windows "complain" about a file of a "unknown source" or something like that?
