movie too bright

I just burned a vcd with movie studio and the movie looked really good until I burned it. Now its too bright on the burned project. You can't see faces they are so bright. when I go back to the workspace I see the photos there are not bright at all. It must be a setting but where should I go to change the settings. Please help!! Movie needs to be done by tomorrow!

Where are you viewing this? It's quite possible the gamma is off on something. DON'T look at Windows Media Player to test this.
If you edited in Vegas, it's also possible your computer screen is too dark, and you weren't seeing accurate during editing.
Finally, be aware that VCD's low bitrate can play a little havoc with the image quality, but shouldn't produce the results you're mentioning here.

Very similar problem for me. Everything was perfect up until I played the burned DVD and many of the (photo) brighter areas were far too bright and washed out. I lowered the intensity level to 80% in Vegas Studio and got the same result. It must be software because Photodex Photoshow Gold produces perfect slideshows. Mine is a DVD, not a VCD, but it looks like the same problem.

How does proshow work? I have been using Pinnacle, which produced a good result, but the program runs very slow, and is very buggy.
Movie Studio works pretty well, but I have been having rendering problems, and am getting my highlights blown out when the dvd files are created.

ProShow works beautifully. Easy interface, etc. I think they have a trial version at photodex.com
