Moving all media to a common folder

Is there a way to tell Vegas to move a copy of each item in the media pool to a certain folder? For a project, I may pull a sound effect from a CD, a background song from the C: Drive, a picture from a media card, video clips from different drives, etc. I'd like to get everything into one location. I know I can use explorer to do it and then tell Vegas where the new location is, but is there an easier way?

If you use the Save As function with the "copy and trim media with project" option you can create a new folder and Vegas will automatically make new copies of all the media files to go along with them. If the media files are DV .avi or .wav files then Vegas will also trim them down to just the parts used on the timeline. It won't move or delete the original files, so they're still safe. However, if you don't want the original files anymore then you'll have to delete them manually.

Word of warning ... AVI files will be split up into separate video-only .avi and audio only .w64 files. If all you do with them after that is continue to work on the same project then this shouldn't be a problem. If you want to use them in a different project you'll have to remember to add both files to the timeline. If you move them to any other software beware that almost nothing besides SONY's media software will open .w64 files.
