Moving boxes.. must be an easier way!

Hi All,

I'm trying to accomplish this in Vegas V7

<a href="
Especially at the :17 - :22 seconds mark

I have 4 tracks of different sizes, but when the box expands, I'm having a tough time aligning things up (using keyframes)...maybe I'm going about this the wrong way. Is there an easier way? How would you do it? (17-22 seconds in).

Another question I have is this...
Say I have a video clip ( Event pan/cropped to a small little box like a p.i.p) and I want this box to move across the screen, I normally use the keyframes (position), then go to the end of the position and place my ending keyframe, but by the time I drag my clip to the ending position, I lose my "Y Center" coordinates in the Rotation.
Is there a simple keyshortcut to hold and lock the "X" or "Y' numbers as you move the clip across the screen?

...and my last question, I'm still using PluginPac for cropping (top and bottom mostly), is this still the way to go or is there something better?

Thanks

Practice using the buttons at the top of the Track Motion window, especially the Scale About Center button. Turning this OFF will make it much easier for you to, for example, grow a track from the bottom right to the top left without disturbing the bottom right corner.

The Prevent Movement buttons will help with your second issue.

You just said the magic word...Track Motion...I dunno why but I always play in the event pan/crop area instead.

Ah. Well, if you happen to find yourself in a situation where Pan/Crop is the appropriate tool, it has similar buttons on the left side. But I do think Track Motion would be the way to go for this.
