mp4 takes 7 mins to start playing, metadata??

I have created a 71 MB mp4, up loaded it to amazon s3 and use wimpy to play it on my site. The video takes 7 minutes to start playing. I was told by wimpy support that it was an encoding issue, something about the header metadata being at the end of the video instead of at the beginning and so the entire video is downloaded before it starts to play. Can anyone explain to me how to render correctly to encode videos to start playing before the download is complete to avoid this delay?

Other users here have reported success with MP4 Fast Start.
Using the forum search will get you more information.

i personally use Handbrake, which has a streaming option, because of its rendering speed and quality.
