MP4 videoclip from Samsung NV100HD

I found some videosamples directly from the new Samsung NV100HD camera. They are mp4 and 720p.

Found them here: http://www-personal.umich.edu/~balazer/files/nv100hd/

When I try to draw them to the timeline I get a divide by zero in the mcmp4plug.dll - in both VMSP pro 9.0a and full Vegas 8.0c - Gspot says they are avc1 ( and, no, my Vegas's are not pirated :-) )

Have any of you a good idea about which codec will be the best for them for import to VMSP pro 9.0a and full Vegas 8.0c? I mean: best quality and also good speed?

Vegas uses the MainConcept lib to decode these files, but it has a bug, so it crashes. You can't install another codec to read these files, this is a bug that just needs to be fixed or you will be out of luck. I tried removing the mp4/qt folders in order to try to read these files with ffdshow instead, but vegas wouldn't take it.

Thought so. I also tried the ffdshow change before asking.

Well, then it has to be editing by proxies for now.

I have just sent the same question to Vegas support and also to MainConcept support.

Will post the answers...
