MPEG 1 Advanced Settings

Does anyone know of a site or posting which thoroughly explains the Advanced/Custon settings for the MPEG 1 codec in Video Factory 2.0? I have been attempting to render video for the WEB and have decided that the MPEG codec in VF is superior to the RealPlayer or WMV codec. The downside is the file size, yet it isn't huge for a 1 minute clip. Specifically, I want to know what each adjustment does to the video as well as to the file size,,,, If you have this info, please Email me directly @ cococoop@aol.com ,,,, Thanks in Advance ,,,, Tom Cooper

Tom,
Perhaps this thread, posted over on the Vegas Video forum, can be of some help:

PL ,,,, thanks for the link ,,,, I am familiar with the information in that thred ,,, specifically ,,, I am looking at what the controls on the Main Concept Control Panel when you choose Custom for your template ,,,, for example ,,, there is a slider for "Video Quality" with a range between o and 30 ,,, I have rendered at a number of ranges and it doesn't seem to change the file size and the quality very little ,,, there are many items on the Control Panel which I don't know the effects of changing them ,,,, Thanks anyway ,,,,, Anyone else have any ideas?

A fairly detailed MPEG encoding guide is available here: http://www.sonicfoundry.com/download/step2.asp?DID=391
