Mpeg-1 or mpeg-2, how?

I read on this page that Vegas Video 2 support mpeg-1 and
mpeg-2 but how do I save or render like that? There's no
option saving like that!

you need to download the plugin. Then it will appear in the
Render As... list. Go to the updates pages and enter your
serial # when after clicking on the MPEG Plugin.

I just purchased/downloaded and installed 2.0b. I also
downloaded and installed the MPEG plug-in and did the self
register of the DLL as well as a reboot.

MPEG still does not show up as a render as format type and
when I try to open MPEG files, they are listed as Unknown
in the file type. When I had the DEMO version installed it
did the same thing. I was told by tech support that it was
becuase I was using the DEMO version.

What's the problem now?
