MPEG-1 Rendering Error (anyone have this problem?)

I have a project where I place just a single DV NTSC AVI clip in the timeline. I double click on the AVI to highlight the whole clip region. I render the clip to MPEG-1 using the VCD template. The first time I render it works just fine. After the render completes, I choose to render the clip again but this time as the default template (not sure if they are the same or not). The render doesn't even get past the first frame and an error msg box shows up that says "An error occurred while creating the media file Untitled.mpg....The reason for the error could not be determined."

Any ideas?

Roy

*Guessing* ...

I've had occassions where other software in windows have caused poor resource management. In non-geek speak, the PC's memory and stuff just get full up so it can't do anything new. Vegas would work OK until asked to render - closing vegas and rebooting solved the problem. Never was sure what caused it to happen, but I try to keep all the software updated and noticed after updateing a bunch of stuff that it never happened again - that's why I don't blame Vegas.

What version of Vegas are you running?

You should select the PAL or NTSC VCD template for your second MPEG-1 render. However, Vegas should remember the template you used for your first render, it should not be Default.
