MPEG-2 export from Premiere65

Since the default method of exporting video to MPEG2 in Premiere 6.5 is as an elemental file format (.m2v) rather than the .mpg program file, What do I have to change the settings in Premiere to, in order to get a high quality MPEG2 file for DVD Architect. Originally I was using DVDit PE but it doesn't support AC-3 surround files (only stereo).

I need to emphasize that quality/compatability is the issue here. I don't care if the MPEG is large. I will attach the AC-3 audio at the point of DVD authoring in DVD Architect.

System is a Dual Xeon 2.4 Ghz, 1 Gb Ram, Windows XP, ATI Radeon 9700 card.

Thanks,
Bob

I'm by no means a Premier expert - I gave up on it.

However, TMPGEnc can take the elementary stream and using no audio file, mux it as a program stream for you, using the MPEG tools that they have available - I do this with 2 pass VBR MPEG files from CCE Basic and it works quite well.

Go to custom setup when you generate Mpeg in Primere and set it for Mpeg2.
