I am using Movie Studio 8.0 and I need some more help with MPEG-2 play back on my DVD player.
I would have put this Q/A in my old post and just Updated it but I whent through and I can not finde my old post sorry.

If I put an MPEG-2 fvideio on a blank C.D. it playe ok in my DVD Player.

And if I put a MP3 file on my Blank C.D. it plays ok in my DVD player.

But if I make a MPEG-2 file with Audio and Video and put it on a Blank C.D. the Video plays ok but the Audio may reapete a fue seconds or skip.

Now someone had told me that it may be because Blank C.D.s hold less Data so thy spread it out longer and the Lazzer may not be able to keep up with both the Audio and Video.

But befor D.V.Ds thy used C.D.s to put movies on Right so why is it not working??

Well, not really. VideoCDs were an extremely short-lived commercial medium. And, you don't have a VideoCD player, you have a DVD player. The engineer who designed your DVD player probably wasn't even born yet when VideoCDs failed and disappeared from the commercial scene.

Just try a DVD and tell us what happens.

Ok I will try putting my MPEG-2 file on a DVD and I think it will work.

But I think I should tell you how I am making my mpeg-2 then you can tell me if it is because it is on a C.D. and not a DVD??

I import a fue photos into the timeline ad some Text at the begeanning and then import an MP3 audio.
It plays ok on the timeline so I go to Rander As and pick MPEG-2.

When the file is compleate it plays ok on my desktop but when I burn it to a C.D. and play it in the Living Room D.V.D the Audio reaptes or skips.

Does MP3 audio files have to spin faster then Video if so maybe thats wht is going on. But then again when I make an mpeg-2 file both the Audio and video are mixt together so that should not matter right???

I knew you were going to start a new thread. Why didn't you continue your discussion regarding your problem in THIS.

Again, you need to stop asking questions in new threads on the same subject. Simply open your previous thread and click on the"Reply" link at the bottom right of any posting in that thread.

But to try and help..... I think I understand that you're using VMS to render your mpeg file, but what I don't understand is, what program are you using to burn the mpeg onto the DVD disc?
