MPEG-4

I have a video capture device that saves in MPEG-4
format, but it doesn't have a good editing system. I
just purchased Video Factory and I wanted to see if I
can import an MPEG-4 video, edit it, and then save it
as an MPEG-2. Will this work and will people be able
to view it with Windows Media and Real Player? It
appears to be showing up as an AVI file in Video
Factory. Thanks!

MPEG4 should show up as an .avi codec and load fine in VideoFactory (as long as the codec is installed).

If you want people to watch your video in REAL and Windows Media Players, I suggest MPEG1 format. Those players support MPEG1 (so does Quicktime).
