Why Mpeg-4? Do you like it for some reason? Space?

No, several clients use it for web delivery. Personally, I love the format myself. Smaller file sizes than WM9 and same if not better quality.

H264 will be the future though.

"h264 will be the future".....I dunno. Seems like every time someone says that, Microsoft either meets or beats them to the punch. Until a few months ago, no one was investing in Vanguard's direction, but that shifted. I hope you're right in terms of the format...
MPEG 4 was all but killed when it was once again denied as a DVD delivery platform earlier this year at NAB. With Dish Network and Direct TV also saying that they don't want to deal with 264 due to all the licensing issues...that also spells the death of yet another really great innovation in favor of Microsoft. LSI had a really sweet demo at NAB, and it looked AWESOME! Smaller/lighter weight than WM9HD as well, but I think WMHD is the future regardless, simply as a result of watching MP4 more or less begin it's death march earlier this year.

From what I have read, H264 will be included in the HD-DVD specs along with VC-9 (WM9) and HE-AAC will be used for the audio format as well. Luckily, I use all three. :)
