MPEG AUDIO (mp3) PROBLEM

I have been playing around with some m2ts files converting them to XVID and different formats to try to get them to work on some other programs. After converting them I noticed that the video was recognized in Movie Studio HD Platinum 10 but the audio wasn't. I downloaded MediaInfo and the information for the audio was 128 Kpbs, 44.1 KHz, 2 Channels, MPEG AUDIO (mp3) ( Version1) (Layer 3). As I said, I can load the file in Studio and I will have the video but not the audio. I can load the same file into Corel VideoStudio and it works with no problem. Any thoughts? Thanks.

You should demux your audio in AviDemux first.
VBR audio is not natively supported in AVI, and I suspect this is the reason it will not open in Vegas, which uses VFW rather than DirectShow.

Thanks musicvid. Ive tried 3 different converters, two VMS couldn't recognize the audio and in one it recognized the audio but not the video. Ill take a look at AviDemux.
