MPEG Encoding/DVD capacity

Might be a dumb question, but from a camcorder vidcap, what duration can I expect to have on a DVD-5 disk w/o compromising quality? 90 minutes?

Quality is in the eye of the beholder; however, I generally find that 90 minutes is pretty reasonable for a 6Mb/s average bit rate and AC3 audio and still have enough room for a menu or 2. If you are using PCM audio I'd probably drop that back to 80 minutes.
