Mpeg jittery on playback

I rendered in Vegas to mpg2. When I play it from the timeline, it stutters. If I were to go to Windows explorer and click on it to play, it is smooth.

Any ideas why this is?

Are you playing the rendered MPEG from the V5 timeline?

No, from the DVD timeline. It's eratic. It's like it doesn't play the same everytime.

Yes, we've identified this as a bug that occurs only on some systems. This will be fixed in an upcoming release.

In the mean time, please make sure you limit your background processes - virus checkers, etc.

What systems would be included in this list. Rather, what is it about the system that is the problem. There is no possible way I can set chapter points this way.
