MPEG missing after reinstall

Alright, this is crazy. I just formatted my boot drive and reinstalled Windows XP. After reinstalling Vegas 3.0c and registering, I don't see MPEG 1 or 2 as a render option. This was the case prior to AND after installing Service Pack 1, so I don't think it's related to the windows media bug fix.

Has anyone experienced this? I did install over top of my old pre-existing Program Files directory, but I've done this before without problems.

Help?

Never mind, I got it back by uninstalling, deleting the entire Sonic Foundry folder in Program Files, and reinstalling.

Glad you got it going. For the record (maybe a bug somewhere?), several people, myself included, have experienced this problem after re-installing.

I seem to remember that after the original install - or upgrade - to Vegas 3c I had to issue a separate activation code for the MPEG stuff.

Yeah, problem was MPEG wasn't even showing up in the list of available encoders, so registering it wasn't even an option. All better now though. Glad to hear I'm not the only one, Jason.
