I am trying to render to mpeg 1/2 with customised templates, but Vegas errors after a second or two saying "encountered a problem and will close...". Vegas does not crash or lock up, just errors on the render task and stops. I thought the Main Concept encoder was able to be customised?? I have tried modifying a VCD/SVCD PAL template for higher resolution or bitrate, also tried a default template and tried customising from there, same problem. Sometimes it takes until the encoding gets to 1-2% or sometimes as soon as I press OK.

Default templates work fine, but I would like to try XVCD/XSVCD etc. I'm using bld 138 on Win Xp pro, AMD Athlon 2000XP.
