Mpeg rendering becomes darker

i have a problem here when i render an dv avi files to mpeg1 or 2.
The rendered mpeg 1 or mpeg 2 files are darker than the original avi file.
I am just using the default template to choose either vcd or dvd format.

This is a CG video in night scene, so it is very obvious to see it darker in both mpeg 1 and mpeg 2 file.

I don't have this problem using the old mpeg encoder. In VV3a, there is only MainConcept to choose for mpeg rendering.

it looks darker on a burned DVD? or played back on the computer?

on the computer.
i tried many way, directly from the project, from the rendered DV avi. they have the same result.
I have tried render other project, and they looks fine. Also, i have tried import the dv avi file into MGI's videowave 4, it render the same bright as the avi, but the encoder cannot set to best quality. So i will still need to go back to vegas to render.
