MPEG's won't play

Help with Windows Media Player or does the problem possibly reside in my mpeg encoder??? ...some mpeg 2' will play fine then others will play only the audio portion. Thus, all I can see is a black screen, but hear the sudio fine.

Any help or further knowledge would be most helpful...

1) Do all the MPEGs work in Quicktime or any other media player?
2) How does Vegas handle the MPEGs?
3) Are all these MPEGs created by you/Vegas or do they come from varied sources?

You most likely don't have the proper codec installed.

Download GSPOT here:

http://www.headbands.com/gspot/

And see which codec is required for the videos in question. You can then download the needed codecs.
