MPEG2 displayed in wrong ratio.

I imported an old MPEG2 file into DVDA 2 & was surprised to see that it wasn't displayed 4x3 but in 16x9 ratio. I checked & saw that DVDA was also set for 4x3. I then went back & got Windows Media Player & Power DVD to also play the same file & both these programs played as 4 x 3. Where else do I look?

This problem has been mentioned before (see link below), but I haven't heard of any fix for it yet. If you delete the video preview files before starting DVDA, you should be Ok for that session. Bloody nuisance if you ask me.
