MPEG2 render "unknown error has occurred"

I just installed V6b and tried to render out an hour long AVI to mpeg2 CBR when an “unknown error has occurred” poped up.
I’ve got 5 + times the drive space for the mpeg2 file to render to.
I tried to render the same AVI in V5b and the same error happened about 10min into the render with about a 666,189 file size. Does anyone have a solution?
Maybe it’s the 666 number?

Does anyone have a solution?

thanks

I had this problem recently. Check to see how far into the program the render had gone before stopping. At that point in my program, I had a still image (a .jpg I think). I opened the image in Photoshop and re-saved it. When I re-tried the render, it went through fine. I think the system just choked on something on the timeline. Maybe this will work for you. Good luck.

Its a renderd out track of quicktime movies to AVI. I'm rendering MPEG2 from the AVI. So maybe vegas might a have an problem with its own rendered AVI file at that one point? I need to get this project done for the dup house tonight.

Thanks agian
