Mpeg2 Rendering

When creating Mpeg2 file I get a "shimmering" effect in portions of the video output. Not the entire screen and not the entire content. I never noticed this when rendered to Mpeg1. I need to creat a an SVCD so MPEG 2 is mandatory for project clarity. I'm using the built in template below :
audio: 224 kbps, 44,100 Hz, Layer 2
Video: 29.97 fps, 480x480
Use this setting to create an NTSC SVCD-compliant MPEG-2 file.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I tried tourning off "fast video sizing" and "strectch video to fit frame" to no avail.
Thanks

Hi,

Can you describe the source format and content (i.e., still images or video, etc.)? Also, is there any way you can provide us with a sample clip showing this issue?

Thanks,

I also am having problems with my SVCD files. I have downloaded my home videos from my sony trv320 and used the SVCD template to create a SVCD yet the results are not much different than the VCD that I created using the same video.
I downloaded the test SVCD bin file (top gun clip) from vdchelp.com and it looked out great.
I know my camera is not a professional camera but my avi files on the computer look great.
Any suggestions?
