MPEG2 separate video & audio

I just installed Movie Studio 3. I was hoping to have more control over the MPEG-2 encoding. In particular, I don't see any option for outputing MPEG NTSC with video and audio files separately. I've been using TMPGEnc, which puts out m2v and wav files as separate "elementary streams." I've been told that having separate streams is better, since DVD authoring programs have to split the video and audio anyhow.

Thanks for any insight!

VF, as opposed to MS3, has the option of outputting elementary streams but I haven't been able to get it to work. I use DVDLab for authoring and that demuxes on the fly, so it's not much of an issue.
