HI all,

A friend of mine exported a video in MP4 format (from Final Cut).
I can open it with Windows Media Player but not with Vegas.

How can I open this file with Vegas?

Or, is there a software to convert this MP4 into an AVI or MPEG1?

Install a current version of QuicktimePlayer.

I have installed the latest quicktime (from apple website) and it still does not work with vegas4. Must I have Vegas5???

Vegas does not recognize for the mp4 extention. Hopefully we will get mp4 container support here soon if not at least for Version 6.

Have you checked if you can open the MP4-file in Quicktime itself?
If this works maybe it was just a listing problem. When looking for the .mp4 file in the VegasExplorer you have to turn the VegasExplorer view to "All Files". Otherway it's not listed there.
