MPG file

I added an MPG file to my project and all I see are black frames....
The sound is there but not the video...

Is there a problem with VMS handling MPG (it is ok with AVI or WMV) or is it my file?

What kind of MPG file is it? What format? Where did it come from? What software produced it?

Hey, I get this all the time.

Nothing I do fixes it and I end up having to start the project all over again.

My files are MPEG2 from my JVC GZ-MG30 camera.

It seems that I get to about 35 mins of my project and then I try to bring in another scene and over she goes.

I have also had it happen when I bring in an mpeg file that was taken with my Olympus E500 camera.
