MS+D won't start, reboots computer

I'm trying to become a Pinnacle Studio 10 to VMS convert but I'm off to a really rough start.

I just installed Vegas Movies Studio + DVD Platinum and launched it. I input my serial number and the splash screen comes up. After about 5 seconds my screen goes black and the system reboots.

With everything else my system is rock solid. However I do have a lot of stuff running.
My computer is:
ASUS NForce4 Premium SLI motherboard
Athlon 64 x2 4000+ 2Gig DDR
2x 250Gig Western Digital SATA HD's in RAID Stripe
2x GeForce 7800GTX in SLI mode (I also tried single mode)
Realtek '97 Audio

Software running: Google Desktop, Streamzap remote, Norton AV 2006, MSN Messenger, Trillian, Logitech Setpoint, Razer Mouse software, Girder, Sony-Ericsson Smartphone monitor and dock, Xfire, SgraphRecorder, MS Anti-Spyware, SageTV

I disabled all that stuff that I could to test. VMS still rebooted my system.

My capture devices are:
Avermedia A180, Veo Webcam, Sony DV Camcorder, Cirrus Logic USB-DVR2(not sure what that is), Motorola AV/C Tuner Device.

The Motorola AV/C Tuner Device is listed first by default in all capture programs. This may be the problem. This Motorola AV/C Tuner Device is a software device driver for the Motorola/Comcast Cable TV Set Top Box. It's a driver used by SGraphRecorder to stream HDTV from the Comcast STB via Firewire to my computer. SageTV displays this stream.

Maybe someone can tell me how to move this device to the last on the capture list?

This or any other clues would be much appreciated.

Exactly one hour later and I solved my own problem. Sure enough, it WAS that Motorola AV/C Tuner Device driver. I disabled it in Device Manager and VMS fired up without a hitch.

In Pinnacle I could specify a default device. Can I do the same with Vegas Movie Studio so that it doesn't search for that Motorola AV/C Tuner Device?
