MS themed styles to other version of MYDVD.

I recently bought a Sony dvd burner that came with a much better version of MYDVD than Screenblast came bundled with. It lets you edit chapters, has Dolby Digital, etc. So obviously I don't want the version that came with MS, but I would REALLY like to have access to the MS themed styles. I can't just install the MS version and then upgrade to the better versionbecause the installer makes you remove the other version.

I can open up the themes as a background by routing my my through all the files, but it won't open it up as a style, only a background picture (no button borders, sound, whatever else comes with it).

SO--- Is there any way to import all the MS styles into another version of MYDVD besides the bundled version?

MyDVD themes are stored in the folder "C:\Program Files\Sonic\MyDVD\Styles\NTSC\DefaultMotionStyles_Lite" and "C:\Program Files\Sonic\MyDVD\Styles\NTSC\Default Styles". Find the location of the MS themes and copy them to the above directories. Hopefully that will work and allow access to the MS themes for your version of MyDVD. There is a separate folder for the buttons. You may have to do the same with those.

Thanks for your help! I dropped the folder with all the Screenblast themes into the NTSC folder. They automatically loaded next time I opened MYDVD, and work great!

I'm glad they put up this forum for us, it is much better than their so-called "technical support". AFTER I already tranferred the themed menus to MY DVD by following instructions posted on this forum, and getting them to work PERFECTLY, I received this reply:

"Thanks for writing. Due to the version of MyDVD bundled with Movie
Studio being a bundled copy, you are not going to
have the full functionality of transfering it's
themes to a newer copy of that software.
Sincerely,

Matt, maybe you should monitor the forums once in a while, you might learn something about your software...
