MSP 13 Steam edition downscaling my video's

FingertipPhil wrote on 2/18/2018, 9:54 AM

Hi, recently my MSP is detecting my project media at 1600 x 900 x 32 - 59.953p - when the source file from my PC according to the properties is 1920 x 1080 - 59.96p so it's chopping off the left and bottom sides of the video, it plays in windows media player fine with the whole screen visible, and i've ran it through Windows Movie Maker, and the whole screen is visible. No matter what i do, what i change it dosen't display the whole of my footage, i've rendered it to test whether it work in the final cut, but it doesn't.

I've reinstalled twice - just in case.

Did you try changing your project properties to 1920 x 1080?

Hi David,

Thanks so much for your question - i've attached a screen shot of the properties of my project from it's destination folder -

The below is also the settings in MSP13 when i clicked on properties, as you can see in Stream Properties, the two don't correlate -

I would uncheck the option to Match Source to project. It could be causing your video to match the project properties, which are incorrect.
