Boy would I like to be able to convert my z7 m2t footage to mfx format without recompressing the footage. Why, because of the uncompressed audio of course. As far as I can see, both formats compress the video with the same mpeg2 compression. None the less, If I render from mt2 to mpeg, the video is recompressed. What I'd like to be able to do is to uncompress the audio, leave the video unchanged, and work with it as mfx. Is there any way to do this either inside or outside of Vegas.
