OK, I was having pretty good luck with V9 -64 bit. Not perfect but pretty close. Occasionally, when I would open a Veg file, I would get an error message:
"An error occurred opening the media file.
....(whatever the file name).mts"
This only occurs with MTS files in the project. Clearly, the MTS video codec/plug in is not loading properly. Odd thing was, it was sporadic.
Then I uninstalled Vegas 8.1 and 8.0. Veg 9 -32 bit was fine, but V9 64 bit lost all of its audio plugins. So I uninstall V9 64bit and reinstalled it- but it the file import problem is not fixed. Any ideas would be appreciated. It just MTS files (all shot on Sony HD cameras, by the way!).
