I have an mts file that I have been editing. I came to a spot where the portion seems to have frozen for about a 10 minute segment ( same scene). I can play the raw file segment with windows media player. No problems viewing it. I also tried to edit in vegas 11. Same spot is have trouble in vegas 11. Anyone having a problem like this?

Did you render that part out successfully? What is you preview quality set to?

I have experienced this before. I found a bad frame which I removed. Since you imported it into SV11 with same result it may be a corrupt portion in the MTS file.

when i've had a 'problem' file (occasional avchd) i've found the quickest, simplest answer is to simply transcode it. handbrake does a good job with problematic files in my experience

I had an issue recently with a m2t render where the video was ghosting after render in the same spot every time. I was rendering to Sony AVC. Was fine to Mpeg2.
Must have been a bug so I rendered to AVI and then took it back into VP12 and rendered no problem to any format.
