Movie Studio 17 was not responding when trying to load MTS video files with 5 channel surround audio. It would just freeze then crash. Tried loading AVI and MPEG and all was working fine. Discovered that this was caused by a Microsoft Windows ( Windows 10 ) security update the other day. To fix the problem I followed a stream on this forum to uninstall the Security Update for Microsoft Windows ( KB5001330 ) In your PC go to control panel/programs/programs and features/installed updates. Restarted the computer and “Hey Presto” working great. Have paused Windows updates for now, hopefully we will get a fix for this from Magix soon. Think they are aware and working on it. Hopes this is of use to all.
