I recently determined my hard drive to be the bottleneck in some rendering issues, so I created a ramdisk using Gavotte Ramdisk, which is supposed to work then as removable or fixed storaged. So I dragged my .MTS files (.M2TS) in there, and now the weird thing is, the file will play just fine on Windows Media Player (without stuttering now!) however, when I drag the file into Vegas 8, only the audio shows up on the timeline. In fact, when I right-click on the file and go to properties, it doesn't even show the video:

Folder: C:\Program Files\Sony\Vegas Pro 8.0\FileIO Plug-Ins\mcplug
Format: MainConcept MPEG-2
Version: Version 2.0 (Build 5517)
Company: Sony Creative Software Inc.
In fact, it seems like it is trying to decode it using the wrong plug-in. But Vegas works with the exact same file just fine on my hard drive! I've even dragged it from my hard drive to the ramdisk in the Vegas explorer window and it went from loading both audio and video to loading only audio.
Has anyone experienced this or know what to do about it?
Thanks!
