multi cam event pan/crop

The multi-camera editing in Vegas is great and saves tons of time, but one problem I have is that one of my three cameras does not shoot in 16:9. I do all my projects in widescreen mode and I used to apply the event pan/crop settings to "match output aspect" on any 4:3 video tracks before any cuts and they would remain throughout the project. Multi-camera editing mode discards any event pan/crop settings when creating the multi-cam track.
I've done pre-edit renderings of the non-widescreen video with the pan crop settings in place and I've also simply gone through the project and applied the settings to each individual cut that needed it. Bothways work fine but are very time consuming.
Does anyone out there know of a faster way to apply pan/crop settings to multiple events in a multi-cam track?

Assuming I understand your situation correctly:

1. Put your 4:3 footage into a new project.
2. Crop them all as necessary.
3. Save this to a VEG.
4. Drag this VEG into your multicam project.

Thanks for the response Rob. Good idea that will come in handy at times. I didn't know you could import a VEG file into a seperate track in another project!
For multicam editing, though, if the .VEG track is included when creating the multi-cam track, making cuts in multicam mode doesn't work.
If you have any other ideas, please post them!
I'm still experimenting too,so If I come across a shortcut, I'll be sure to post it here.
Thanks

This is not a native Vegas solution, but Ultimate S multicam will preserve fx applied to events when creating the mulitcam track - I assume the same would apply to pan/crop.

Adam: How about doing all the necessary adjustments to the 4:3 material outside the multicam project, then save it as an .avi rather than a .veg file? Bring the .avi file into the multicam project just like any other clip.

Ultimate S has a 15 day free trial with no overlays or limits to what you can do with the software and it will preserve whatever edits you have done to the footage when using the multicam mode as stated above.
